About the event
This hike is on a paved service road that leads all the way up to the top of Humboldt Mountain. We have about a 45-minute drive from Anthem to get to the trailhead.
Solitude, beautiful views, and some nice elevation gain (1653 feet) can be found on this hike. Hiking distance round-trip to be approximately 7.5miles
Directions to the beginning of the hike - from 101 in North Scottsdale, exit at Pima/Princess Road (Exit 36) and go 13 miles north on Pima Road to Cave Creek Road and turn right (east). Drive 13.8 miles (Cave Creek Road becomes Seven Springs Road which has parts that are unpaved but can be done in a standard sedan). Between mile markers 9 and 10, turn right on FR 562/Humboldt Mountain Road (there's a "562" sign about 100 feet up on Humboldt Mountain Road).
