Microwaves and Plastic Containers

The recipes we give are going to give you a bunch of leftovers. We don't recommend, however, microwaving them in the plastic containers that you store them in.

Plastic containers contain Phthalates and BPA. What you need to know about those is that they are in plastic to help keep their integrity and shape. When consumed (do not consume these), they can affect your hormones and cause a list of health issues. So microwaving food in these containers has the chance for these chemicals to transfer from the container and into your food.

What you should be using is glass or ceramic dishes (or just paper plates) to warm your food. Ditch the plastic when you are using the microwave!
